Privacy Policy

Effective June 26, 2026 · Last updated June 26, 2026

MobileByteSensei ("we", "us", "our") operates the Healld mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Healld is a mental-wellness app, so much of the information you choose to provide is sensitive personal data concerning your health and emotional wellbeing. We treat it accordingly.

By using Healld you consent to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

The data controller is MobileByteSensei. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact us at mobilebytesensei@gmail.com.

App identifier: com.mobilebytesensei.healld.

2. Information we collect

We only collect what is needed to run the features you use.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account data — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account or sign in.
  • Wellbeing data (sensitive) — mood check-ins, journal entries, self-assessment responses, gratitude notes, habit logs, sleep schedules, and breathwork/mindfulness session activity that you record in the App.
  • Emergency contact — a name and phone number you choose to save for one-tap access in difficult moments.
  • Community content — posts, replies, and reactions you choose to share in community features. Do not post anything you consider private; community content is visible to other users.
  • Support correspondence — messages you send us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage and diagnostics — feature interactions, in-app events, and crash reports, used to keep the App stable and improve it.
  • Device information — device model, operating-system version, app version, and a pseudonymous installation identifier.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your wellbeing data for advertising.

3. How we use your information

We process your information to:

  • provide the App's core features (mood tracking, journaling, assessments, habits, sleep, breathwork, community);
  • generate your personal insights and progress views;
  • authenticate you and keep your account secure;
  • diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve the App;
  • respond to your requests and provide support;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Legal basis (India, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023): we process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you sign up and use the App, and for the specified purposes above. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 7). Where you are in a jurisdiction with additional data-protection rights (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA), those rights also apply to your data.

4. Where your data is stored and who processes it

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure and processed only by the service providers we rely on to operate the App:

ProviderPurposeData involved
Supabase (PostgreSQL)Primary database + authentication + storageAccount + wellbeing + community data, encrypted at rest, isolated per-user via row-level security
Google FirebaseCrash reporting, analytics, and app distributionDiagnostics, usage events, device + pseudonymous identifiers
AI insight providerGenerating wellbeing insights (where offered)De-identified or aggregated inputs where feasible; no community identity is shared for advertising

These providers act as our processors under contract and may store data on servers outside your country. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the providers' contractual and technical safeguards.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete specific entries, they are removed from active systems. If you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Backups are purged on a rolling cycle. See Account & Data Deletion for the exact flow.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, per-user row-level access controls, and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal-data breach where required by law.

7. Your rights and choices

You can, at any time:

  • Access and review the data you have entered, in the App;
  • Correct inaccurate account or profile information;
  • Export a copy of your data;
  • Delete individual entries, or your entire account and associated data, from the App's account/privacy settings;
  • Withdraw consent by deleting your account or contacting us — note that some features will no longer work without the underlying data.

To exercise any right you cannot complete in-app, email mobilebytesensei@gmail.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (or your local supervisory authority).

8. Healld is not a medical service

Healld supports self-reflection and wellbeing habits. It is not a medical device, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in distress or danger, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional. See our Medical Disclaimer and Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

9. Children

Healld is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact mobilebytesensei@gmail.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide an in-app notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
